Use Acts 2:17-21 to guide your prayer over Mosul-
“This is what I will do in the last days- I will pour our my Spirit on everybody and cause your sons and daughters to prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will experience dreams from God. The Holy Spirit will come upon all my servants, men and women alike, and they will prophesy. I will reveal startling signs and wonders in the sky above and mighty miracles on the earth below. Blood and fire and pillars of clouds will appear. For the sun will be turned dark and the moon blood-red before the great and awesome appearance of the day of the Lord. But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Pray that the Spirit would be poured out over Mosul, so that many might call on the name of the Lord and be saved.
Families- Please pray with us that entire families, from the youngest to the oldest, will come to faith in Jesus together as a family. Pray especially for the fathers, as the head over their homes, to give their blessing for their families to follow Jesus.
Love- Love is who God is! Pray that God’s love, that knows no boundaries nor conditions, would be revealed and released in its fullness throughout the city of Mosul.
As Ramadan begins, Muslim people all throughout the city of Mosul begin fasting in order to seek spiritual blessing, mercy, forgiveness and refuge from Allah. Pray that the Holy Spirit would reveal the truth that they all seek can only be found in Jesus. Ask that the Holy Spirit would be poured out upon this city, drawing many hearts to Jesus, meeting people in dreams and visions, convicting people of their sin, removing the veil from blinded minds, and filling believers afresh to empower them to live with boldness for the Kingdom.
