Use 2 Corinthians 3:16-18 to guide you as you pray over Mosul-
But the moment one turns to the Lord with an open heart, the veil is lifted and they see. Now the “Lord” I’m referring to is the Holy Spirit, and wherever he is Lord, there is freedom. We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
May the veil be removed!
Artists
There are so many artists and creatives of all kinds throughout Mosul- painters, drawers, musicians, poets, writers, singers, photographers, videographers, jewelry artists, designers, and the like! It’s a really, really beautiful aspect of this city. People hungering for, capturing, and displaying beauty in all kinds of ways. Pray for artists to come to know the Lord through His creation, that they might use their art as a means for expressing and displaying His goodness to their city.
Creator/Creative
May the creativity of God be seen and adored by the people’s of Mosul. May they also seen the goodness in how they personally were wonderfully made.
“By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encircled for seven days.” (Hebrews 11:30) May every wall that separates Moslawis from Christ fall down as we faithfully pray and obey His commands….. There are many barriers to the gospel throughout this city. The main barriers are Islam, fear of repercussions, communal shame, and limited access to the Word and believers. Please pray for walls and barriers that prevent or limit access to be torn down.
