Use John 15:1,5 to guide your prayer over Mosul-
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
Pray for the people of Mosul to know Jesus as the Vine and choose to make their home in Him.
Mothers
Today is Mother’s Day in the Arab World, so we want to bless the mother’s of Mosul!
Mothers in Mosul face many of the same joys and challenges as other mothers worldwide, so you can imagine the abundant grace, strength, wisdom, discernment, truth, patience, creativity, healing, and rest that they need to receive from the Lord.
Pray also for mothers throughout Mosul to come to know and follow Jesus, that they might courageously raise their children to walk in His ways. May generational curses and sin patterns turn to generational blessings through mothers!
Strong
Though nearly everyone throughout Mosul would mentally assent to the fact that God is strong, many of their other beliefs and behaviors would actually point to areas where they see God as weak. May the strength of God be revealed and released over the city of Mosul.
“And in your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” (Acts 3:25b) Lord, please fulfill your promise to Abraham among the many Moslawi families spread throughout the city and this region of Iraq.
