Use John 6:35 to guide your prayer over Mosul-
Jesus said to them, “I am the Bread of Life. Come every day to me and you will never be hungry. Believe in me and you will never be thirsty.”
Pray for the people of Mosul to know Jesus as the Bread of Life.
The elderly
Many elderly are cared for by their families. However, due to different circumstances, there are also many elderly who are not, and who have been neglected and abandoned by their families. The elderly in this society are dependent on others to care for them, and that can be hard stage of life to be in, if not cared for well. Please pray for the elderly of Mosul to know their value and worth in God’s eyes. Pray that they will be well cared for and provided for, both by the Lord and by others. And pray that they will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and be willing to submit to Him and follow Him, even after living so many years without Him.
Generosity
“For the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.” (Matthew 20:1) Your ways are not our ways. We praise You for Your generosity and ask that many people from Mosul would enter Your Kingdom, even up until the last hour of the day.
There’s many ways that God demonstrates generosity. He’s generous in every way! May His generosity be released over Mosul!
“And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon…” (Hebrews 11:32-35a) Gideon allowed God to dwindle an army of more than 30,000 to 300 so that God would receive all of the glory for the victory. Raise up leaders like Gideon in Mosul, men and women who will have more confidence in God than in their resources.
Use these resources to help pray specifically each day.
