Use Isaiah 40:3-5 to guide your prayer over Mosul
A voice of one calling: “In the wilderness prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
Children
Please pray for children in Mosul. May all the children of Mosul know they are not forgotten or abandoned by Jesus. May the children of Mosul grow up with opportunities to hear the Good News and put their faith in Jesus. May the children of Mosul lead their city and their nation in faith. May the children of Mosul see signs and wonders and truly the miraculous as they pray.
Mighty
Great is our Lord and mighty in power- Psalm 147:5a. May the people of Mosul get to experience the might and power of God.
“When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path.” (Matthew 13:19) We pray for many hearts in Mosul to be receptive to the Kingdom seed that would take root, grow, and reproduce 30, 60, and 100 fold.
