Use John 10:37-38 to guide your prayer over Mosul-
“Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.”
May the people of Mosul experience Jesus and His good works and be convinced that He is in the Father and the Father is in Him.
Fathers
“By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household…” (Hebrews 11:7a) We pray for many heads of household in Mosul, who like Noah, would take outrageous risks for the sake of saving their families.
Worthy
Like the man finding buried treasure in a field, may the peoples of Mosul know the surpassing worth of Jesus. Worthy of their lives. Worthy of their worship. Worthy of their treasures. Worthy of all honor and glory. Worthy to open the scroll. Worthy.
“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6) Lord, please cause multitudes of Moslawis (people of Mosul) to seek You and experience the greatest reward — Yourself!
