Use John 6:68-69 to guide your prayer over Mosul-
“Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life. We believe, and we know that you are the Holy One of God”.
Pray that these words will be in the hearts and on the lips of the people of Mosul. That they would desire to turn nowhere else, because they know in Whom they find the words and way for eternal life.
Service men of Mosul
There are many men working in positions of service throughout the city of Mosul. There are garbage men, electricians, plumbers, small shop owners, fruit & veggies sellers, carpenters, black smiths, and the like. These men work hard for minimal provisions for themselves and their families. Yet, they offer such significant blessing to their city! Pray that they will be blessed with provision and blessed with the intimate knowing of the One who came to serve them and give His life as a ransom for them.
Joy
May the joy of Jesus, that defies circumstances, be released over the people of Mosul. May they receive his joy in fullness as they receive and embrace him.
Jesus told Paul that “I am sending you to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.” (Acts 26:18) We beseech You, Lord, to send many Iraqi Pauls to do the same throughout every corner of Mosul.
